Last November 13, 2007, The Spa hosted a half-day grooming workshop for its employees.
Held at the Acropolis female lounge, the female bonding session was well-attended by The Spa's front desk staff, branch heads and head office staff.
The workshop was initiated by the company to provide its valued employees an opportunity to learn more about proper grooming.
The Spa believes that through proper grooming, employees will gain more confidence to help them become better at their jobs.
First part of the workshop was lead by Maybelline Colour artist, Harold Santos.
He started off with a few pointers on skin types and proper skin care.
This was followed by a video presentation showing the right type of make up that would complement certain skin types.
Another video presentation featured ideal day and night make up, as well steps on how to highlight one's best facial features and how to hide imperfections.
The participants expressed very high interest in the topic, especially during the make-up demo performed by the artist on Nail Spa Manager, Hiyas Landicho.
After the make-up session, Angel Aquino, The Spa's image endorser, recapped by highlighting on the importance of making time to put on make up that should be suitable to one's features and appropriate for the occasion and time of day.
She stressed that putting on a little blush and adding some lip color, helps in giving a dramatic change to one's appearance and somehow affects how people react to you, both in the workplace and outside.
Having said that, Angel introduced Ms. Tina Navarro of Ilaya Couture to share a few fashion tips to the employees.
Everyone was captivated by the short lesson given by Ms. Tina about ideal corporate outfits that would fit certain body types.
She brought a few samples to show certain cuts and styles to give the employees an idea on the kind of outfits that they can mix and match.
She mentioned that by investing in a few basic key pieces, it makes looking good in the office a lot easier.
She also stressed that it is highly important for one to look good on the outside as well as inside, as this somehow, enables one to have that added boost of confidence that is needed when communicating with guests, clients and colleagues alike.
Once the invited key resource speakers have answered the sea of questions about beauty and grooming, the workshop came to a fruitful end with a promise that employees can definitely look forward to more workshops in the future that will help them develop themselves as more confident individuals.
