While deciding what to do on a lazy Sunday with my Mama, the idea popped into my head that I should consider bringing her to THE SPA as I have always wondered how it would feel like, not just so I can see for myself what THE SPA is really like (as I've heard tons of stories about the kind of royal treatment guests get inside)...but to check out their facilities, experience their soothing massages, and most of all to enjoy a dose of some well-deserved pampering with who else, but my Mama.
We were both newbies, which was pretty obvious as we had that look of awe in our faces, as we stepped into the main doorway of the Jupiter branch.
As we walked up the flight of stairs, we smelled the relaxing lavender scent that immediately awakened our senses.
We were greeted by the receptionist and we were encouraged to try the Swedish massage, which we did.
We got on the elevator, found ourselves in the locker area and were simply amazed by the sight, smell and experience.
Of course, I was really enjoying myself as it was my first time, but I was mostly concerned about my Mama, since she is already in her 50s and might find this a bit odd.
But just seeing how her eyes lit up by the sight of everything...from the time we stepped into THE SPA, to the time we enjoyed the soothing waters of the hot jacuzzi, to the point wherein we were both brought into the room to get a head to foot massage, everything seemed like pieces of the puzzle that brought us closer through a holistic and surreal experience.
I knew then, that this day at THE SPA will be something beyond just being a day at a spa, but a day wherein me and Mama bonded in a very special way.

Hi The Spa!
Let me share with you my special bonding moment with my mom when we went to The Spa.
My mom and I love to go to the Spa just to relax and take some time off from our work.
My mom is 50 something years old (dont tell i told you how old she is)! *wink*
Knowing that my mom loves to go to The Spa, i took this chance to take her there for us to relax and to have an intimate time with her, because I have to tell her something!
This "something" that I have to tell her will shock her knowing that I'm the only girl in the family and knowing that I'm still her little baby even though im 20 years old! haha!
well i guess moms are like that all the time...so one sunday afternoon I took her to The Spa, on the way there I was planning on how to say what i'm supposed to tell her...So when we got there, we went to the locker room to change and we went to the sauna first.
I dont know when to pop the big topic...At first she was like asking me how i'm doing...how's my work and stuff like that and i just answered her that everything is good...well i guess this is a sign to tell her what im supposed to tell her...super kinakabahan ako kasi sa sauna room ang daming steam and baka naman mahimatay na siya doon kapag nalaman niya! haha!
but I took that moment...I told her mom i have to tell you something...then she told me..."ok what?" then i told her...mom...i'm in love...its the first time that felt this way in my entire life... then everyhting was quiet inside the sauna room after i said that...akala ko nahimatay na mom ko sa shock!
inisip ko na magtago nalang sa mga steam! haha!
pero she was crying na pala!
Then we went out of the sauna room and she just hugged me so tight and told me that she's so happy for me and that she'll support me all the way...then after she made hirit "and sino naman yung kamoteng yun?" haha!
then natawa ako...then i told her that he's my long time college friend...then she just smiled...everything seems to be perfect during that time...I will never forget that moment coz for me its so special when you share your love stories with your mom may it be good or bad...after this i had another idea!
i was thinking of bringing her again to The Spa when i have to tell her that I'm getting married! (for sure mahihimatay na yung mom ko! hahaha!) but that will be in the future! So here is my special bonding moment with my mom at The Spa!
Cheers,
Abby Oliva
I was planning to treat my mom to something different.
Treating her to some restaurant seems ordinary.
Then a friend suggested why shouldn't I treat her to a spa?
Hearing spa, I thought of The Spa, and checked out their rates, which is reasonable.
I scheduled for me and my mom and I sure am glad I followed my friend's advice.
My mom and I had a great bonding time, aside from the physical relaxation we felt during and after the spa.
There, we talked about lots of things, shared insights in life, which brought as closer.
It seems that we've found out the best way to remove the effects of the daily stress life brings, and also another good way of bonding together.
