DONSOL, an independent film from Bicycle Pictures tells a unique story of heartbreak and the healing power of love amidst the enigma of the ocean and the unparalleled magnificence of whale sharks. Aside from winning “Best Actress” for Angel Aquino, DONSOL’s powerhouse cast and production team received “Best Cinematography” at the 2nd Cinemalaya Philippine International Independent Film Festival. Internationally, the film bagged the “Special Jury Prize” in the Asian Marine Film Festival in Japan and the “Jury Prize for Best Low Budget Feature” in the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival in Florida USA. Soon the film will compete in the Monaco International Film Festival and will be shown in various prestigious film festivals abroad.
